Dear CEO,
When you are feeling unproductive or unaccomplished because of your inability to reach a set goal or task, do you give up, push it away, or use the slogan “I will not come and kill myself”?
Last week, I was overwhelmed with workloads that needed my attention to accomplish but I had difficulties because I didn’t have proper planning and I wasn’t disciplined prioritizing them.
It did put pressure on me and impede my performance and productivity, but I believe it’s not going to happen again this week. I am in charge. I have taken time this morning to outline the tasks for the week and have arranged and prioritized them in order of urgency, time, and importance. I need to be planning my week or month, not just my day.
A to-do list is a useful tool for organizing tasks and prioritizing them based on importance or deadline. It can help you stay focused and manage your time more effectively, as well as give you a sense of accomplishment as you check off tasks.
There are a few different ways you can go about creating a to-do list:
Write it down on paper: This can be as simple as jotting down a list on a piece of paper or using a notebook specifically for your to-do list.
Use a digital tool: There are many apps and websites that allow you to create and manage your to-do list electronically. This can be convenient if you want to access your list from multiple devices or share it with others.
Use sticky notes: This is a low-tech option that can be handy if you want a visual reminder of your tasks. You can stick the notes to your computer monitor, a whiteboard, or other surface where you’ll see them often.
I have made my to-do list for the week, and I have factored in my strengths and weaknesses so I don’t overwork myself, I have set the ones to be delegated and the ones to be outsourced.
You see, productivity is not based on being busy; instead, it’s about getting the right things done at the right time based on the set goals.
So this week, I wish you take control over your workday with your To-Do list, get to do the right things at the right time and prevent yourself from wasting valuable time.
Let’s improve our focus, reduce our stress and frustrations, and become more productive.
