Today, we have an opportunity to explore one of the most valuable traits of human character which we’ve shied away from most times, and that’s Persistence.
Persistence as a criteria to evolve is one that separates success from failure. It is the unyielding belief in oneself and the commitment to persevere, even in the face of setbacks and adversity. It is holding on to our dreams and refusing to be deterred by circumstances and obstacles.
Dr Charles Awuzie discussed extensively on the Power of Tenacity and how it inspires success. It is a skill that can be cultivated and nurtured by anyone willing to invest the time and effort. It is not stubbornness, but it is adapting and finding new approaches when faced with obstacles.
Persistence is about saying “YES” to our dreams, even when circumstances seem to scream “NO.” It’s about holding onto our vision with a firm grip, undeterred by the hurdles life throws our way.
Our Rituals for Day 23:
Morning Ritual: With a surge of determination, recite: “My dreams are valid, my spirit unbreakable. No matter the hurdles, I persist, for I am made of perseverance”.
Success Habit: Allocate a few to journal about a dream you’ve been pursuing—Chronicle the challenges you faced and how you overcame them. Visualize the joy of its reality, and use that as fuel for your continued journey.
Evening Ritual: As the night draws near, reflect on today’s acts of persistence. Write them down in your ‘Persistence Chronicles.’ This act not only serves as a record of resilience but also strengthens your resolve for the future.
Understand that the journey towards your dreams is a marathon and not a sprint, every step carries you forward, hence you’ve got to stay relentlessly persistent. No matter how it seems, KWECHIRI!
