From childhood, most of us have been programmed with a mindset that is keeping our youths stuck in a cycle of struggle and survival.
This outdated script has been passed down for generations:
🔴 “Go to school, get a degree, and find a job.”
🔴 “Work hard, and one day you will be rich.”
🔴 “Money is hard to make, so just manage what you have.”
But let’s pause for a moment and ask ourselves—is this mindset still working today?
The answer is a capital NO!
Look around you:
🔹 How many graduates do you know that are still jobless?
🔹 How many hardworking Nigerians are struggling just to pay rent and school fees?
🔹 How many people make good money but stay broke because they keep spending on liabilities instead of building wealth?
Yet, we are still raising our children with the same outdated formula that hasn’t worked for us—expecting different results. It’s time to break the cycle before we pass it on to the next generation.
Why I Pulled My Son Out of School
I saw the trap early, and I decided that my children would NOT inherit the same programmed virus.
So last year, I made a bold decision with my son. After JSS3, I pulled him out of the traditional school system for a year—not because education isn’t important, but because I refuse to let him grow up as just another Nigerian trained to “work hard” without knowing how to think, innovate, and solve problems.
Instead of spending valuable young years in a system that doesn’t teach him real-world skills, my son is now on a personalized education journey focused on:
✅ Learning how to identify problems and find solutions
✅ Developing high-income skills
✅ Becoming a person of value in the world
Why should we wait until our children are 25 before they start figuring out how to solve problems?
Why are we waiting until adulthood to start learning the most important skills in life?
Reprogramming the Mindset – A New Formula for Success
Instead of programming this outdated virus:
❌ Go to school, get a degree, and find a job.
Let’s replace it with:
✅ Develop high-income problem-solving skills, become a solution provider, and impact the world positively.
This is what I tell my son every day. This is what I have modeled for him, and by 18, my prayer is that he will already be solving global problems.
We don’t need more people working hard—we need more people thinking smart.
We don’t need more people chasing jobs that don’t exist—we need more job creators, innovators, and problem-solvers.
To Every Parent Out There
If you want your child to build real wealth, stop training them to be just hard workers. Instead, train them to be:
✅ Creators
✅ Innovators
✅ Problem-solvers
This is the conversation we must start NOW, because the future is no longer waiting.
🔹 Share this post and let’s start reprogramming our children for success.
🔹 Let’s break free from outdated mindsets and create a generation of thinkers, builders, and leaders.
