A few days ago, I attended LIMBsimple Mastermind class, which completely shifted my perspective on my business.
I will share 10% of the insights with you and want to be held accountable to apply them. I told Fortune Chidera after the meeting that he would be my accountability partner so we could execute the deeper things we learnt.
For the 10%, here are six powerful lessons I learned, along with strategies to make them happen.
Lesson 1: Build strong relationships and make your value known.
One thing that stood out was the importance of building strong relationships. It’s not just about who you know but who knows you and recognizes your value.
Over the next 90 days, I am committing to putting myself in places where I can be seen and heard by the right people. I will be attending key industry events, consistently showing up on social media with great content, and investing in promotion to make sure people know about the good work I am doing.
No more hiding behind the scenes. It’s time to be visible. The more you reach people, the richer you become.
Lesson 2: Know what you don’t know
Another big takeaway was understanding the gaps in my knowledge of the industry. It’s easy to think we have all the answers, but it’s what we don’t know that challenges us.
So, I will do a knowledge audit to identify where I need to grow and do the same for my team. I will seek more resources, mentors, and even online courses to fill those gaps.
You don’t need to be the most intelligent person in the room, but knowing where to look when you need answers is very important.
Lesson 3: Reinvest Profits Back into the Business
I know this is a tough one for many of us. Don’t focus on being profitable in the first five years. Instead of taking profits out of the business, the advice was to reinvest them back into growing and strengthening it and not diluting or making it thin.
Would you believe that every Naira we made during the first three years in Pamtech Oil and Gas went back into the business? This strategy always pays off, and I use it for all my businesses.
For my new businesses, I am going to make sure every bit of profit we make in our first five years is reinvested into building a solid foundation. Business consolidation is more valuable than expansion.
Lesson 4: Empower Your Team to Drive Revenue
If you want to make big revenue like N100 million, you need a team that’s ready to achieve big things. The idea is simple: find ten people who can each generate N10 million in revenue and invest in their growth.
I have started this already with the concept of “The Chief and His Six Generals”. I gave them a million-dollar project challenge while supporting and incentivising them.
Over the next 90 days, I will identify more key players in my team, set clear targets, and provide them with everything they need to succeed. After all, my success comes from helping others succeed.
Lesson 5: The Right Environment Matters
Where you learn and work matters as much as what you learn. The environment you are in can either inspire you or hold you back.
I will start changing my surroundings more, spending time in places that challenge my thinking and spark creativity.
When I am back, I will have dinner with my top fans at the Protea Hotel. We will explore the environment and have a business discussion. New environments, new people, new ideas.
Lesson 6: Connect to the Top
Last, of the 10%, I learned that you don’t rise to the top alone; you connect to the top. If you want to be a billionaire, you must be in rooms where billions are discussed and build relationships with people already there.
Till the end of this year, I am going to focus on entering these high-value spaces to make meaningful connections with billionaires.
I will need to show my value to over 20 Billionaires, and I need to help them make more money . It’s time to surround myself with people who push me to aim higher.
This is a long read, but it’s only for business people who want to take action. Those who are ready to commit their next 90 days and hold each other accountable to make some real changes. Who’s with me?
I am the Billionaire Mechanic; let’s learn to hold each other accountable.
