I Should Have Been Competing with Elon Musk by Now, Chaaiii!

Back in my final year at FUTO, my friends and I had big dreams. We worked on a rocket project that was supposed to shake the engineering students in Nigeria. Sleepless nights, burnt fingers from experiments, and minds pushed to the absolute limit—our goal was simple: make this thing fly.

Did it fly? Well… in theory, yes. In reality, e no gree fly. But at least, we got an “A” for effort.

Looking at this picture this evening, it just hits differently. This is why innovation among the youth dies in Nigeria. We celebrate grades, not real-world impact. We spend years studying, only to graduate without building anything that truly solves problems.

Imagine if we had the resources and support to keep going. By now, we should have been competing with SpaceX or Virgin Galactic. We for don get Pamtech SpaceX for Africa—who no wan enter? But government no gree.

Something Must Change

Engineering students in Nigeria should start building meaningful projects from Year One, not waiting till final year to start a project that will never see the light of day. By the time they graduate, they should have developed real solutions for humanity. Not just projects for display or grades, but businesses, patents, and innovations that change industries.

It’s a heavy burden for me, but Pamtech is stepping in to redefine this as we can. We need to change the game for upcoming engineering students—give them the platform, funding, and mentorship to build from day one. Not just theory, but practice. Not just ideas, but execution.

To Every Young Engineering Student Reading This

Start now! Build, experiment, and create solutions beyond the classroom. If they don’t give you the opportunity, take it by force, my brother! It belongs to those who dare to innovate.

I am the Billionaire Mechanic, and one day, I will still build something that will fly around the globe—even if it’s our Pamtech business. And when it flies, na front row seat I go reserve for all my online team members!

I love you all. Tell me what you think about this photo. Please share.
