Let me ask you a simple question: How much time do you spend promoting what you do?

I’m not talking about just working on your product or service. I’m talking about making sure that people actually see, understand, and connect with your business. How much time do you dedicate to promoting your brand and telling your story?

Many business owners still have this outdated mindset of “just do the work, and customers will come.” But in today’s world, we need to challenge this thinking.

If You Don’t Promote, How Will People Know You Exist?

If no one knows you exist, how will they trust you enough to buy from you?

If you’re not telling your story, someone else will control the narrative about your business. And that someone might not tell your story the way you want it told. This is why promotion is key.

I remember when I first started using Facebook to promote Pamtech Group, some of my friends thought I was wasting my time. I’d hear things like:

  • “Why are you paying people to create content when it’s not bringing in money every month?”
  • “Why not just focus on selling your products instead of talking too much, telling stories, and entertaining people?”
  • One close friend even asked, “Will this online thing ever bring real business?”

At the time, I didn’t have all the answers, but I kept going. Fast forward to today, and the situation is VERY different. I’ve learned something that many business owners overlook—business has changed. It’s not just about what you sell anymore. It’s about who you are, what people believe about you, and the impact your story has on them.

The Power of Promotion and Storytelling

Here’s the thing: You could have the best product on the market, but if no one knows about it, it’s as good as useless.

You might be the most skilled person in your field, but if you’re not telling your story, someone with less skill but more visibility will take your customers.

You can’t hide in the shadows and hope people will find you. You need to show up, be seen, and start building trust. Promoting your business is not optional. If you’re not promoting your business every single day, you’re not really in business.

How Much Time Should You Spend on Promotion?

Now, you’re probably wondering: “How much time should I be dedicating to promotion?”

Let me break it down for you:

  • If you’re just starting out, I recommend you spend at least 3-4 hours a day actively promoting your business. This includes creating content, engaging with potential customers, and sharing your journey.
  • If your business is already established, I suggest you spend about 20-30% of your working hours on marketing and storytelling. Yes, this includes branding, content creation, and even paid ads.
  • Financially, it’s important to budget 10-20% of your monthly profit for marketing. For instance, if you’re making 1 million a month, allocate 100K-200K to ads, content, and branding.

The reality is that many businesses are too focused on selling products instead of building influence and trust. But here’s the truth: People buy from people they trust. And trust is built through stories, experiences, and consistent branding.

Why You Need to Sell Your Story, Not Just Your Product

Think about it: If you only show up when you have something to sell, people will ignore you. That’s why I focus more on sharing my Billionaire journey than I do on selling products from Pamtech Group.

Pamtech Group is not just about cars, oil and gas, or media. It’s a vision, a movement, a mindset shift. And that’s what makes us different.

Challenge for You: Start Promoting Now!

So, I challenge YOU today, as part of my online community, to stop waiting for customers to find you. Start telling your story. Show up every single day and share what you do. Educate people about your industry. Inspire people with your journey.

Spend time and money on building your brand because, let’s face it, business nowadays is no longer about what product you sell but how well you tell your story.

And here’s a hard truth: If you don’t start now, someone else will take the space you’re too shy or too busy to occupy.

I am the Billionaire Mechanic, and I love promoting what I do. I believe you can do even better than me.
